Why do I need Contractor's Insurance?

You have heard many contractor’s tales of woe over the years when things went wrong.

You hired a subcontractor or someone to do work on your project, and all the way up until the job was finished, there were issues, surprises and problems that could have been avoided with proper insurance.

That is why contractor’s insurance is so important to a contractor. You are still liable for any of the work that your subcontractor does.

And when something goes wrong, you want to know you can get compensation for your losses and your contractors can get a monetary settlement to pay them back for the work that they did.

Who Needs Contractor’s Insurance?

If you are a general contractor, you can get homeowner’s or renter’s insurance. But that doesn’t apply to your subcontractors. You still want to make sure they have sufficient insurance to protect them and you as well.
